Preschool is when children start asking “why?” about everything. Our Preschool Classroom serves children from 2 years 9 months to 4 years, and it’s designed to turn that curiosity into confidence.
At Bright Beginnings, the curriculum grows with your child, and we encourage exploring and imagining so learning is fun. We focus on social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth, giving children the tools to become confident individuals and building a lifelong love of learning.
What preschool looks like here
Three- and four-year-olds learn best through play. A preschool day mixes small-group activities, art and building, stories and songs, time to move, and plenty of chances to talk, ask questions and try things out. Teachers post monthly curriculum plans in your child’s cubby, so you’ll know what the class is exploring.
Friendship and self-control
Preschoolers are learning to be part of a group. Our teachers help children use positive language to solve problems and use their words instead of aggression. Each class helps create its own classroom rules, which gives children a real sense of ownership. Teachers set clear, consistent limits, recognize good choices and redirect gently.
Growing independence
Our teachers teach self-help skills every day, from hand-washing to cleaning up. Children over two who are in care more than four hours and eat a meal at the center take part in supervised tooth brushing after lunch (families may opt out).
Rest time
Every child in care more than four hours rests, as Massachusetts requires. Preschoolers get their own mat, families send a crib-size sheet and blanket, and a comfort item is welcome. Rest time is generally 1 to 3 p.m. Children who don’t fall asleep after 30 minutes move to quiet activities.
Keeping you in the loop
Your daily sheet shares your child’s achievements, challenges and interests, plus eating, sleeping and toileting notes. We also do progress reports and age-appropriate screenings periodically, as Massachusetts regulations require, and help families with outside referrals when needed.
Every child is welcome
We review each child’s needs case by case and follow the ADA. With your permission, we’re glad to coordinate with your child’s outside providers, including IEP and IFSP teams.
Tuition
Full-day preschool is offered on 2-day, 3-day and 4/5-day weekly schedules. See our Rates page. Ask your employer about paying with pre-tax dollars through a dependent care FSA, up to $7,500 federally in 2026.
